Explore the ancient Mawphlang Sacred Forest, the unique Garden of Caves and the spectacular waterfalls and caves of Cherrapunjee. Experience the panoramic beauty of Laitlum Canyons before travelling to Guwahati to discover Assam’s tea and handicraft culture. The journey concludes with a visit to the sacred Kamakhya Temple, offering a perfect blend of nature, adventure, culture and spirituality.
Itinerary
On arrival at Guwahati Airport, meet and be assisted by our representative and proceed to Shillong, also known as the “Scotland of the East,” which is approximately 100 kms and 3 hours away from Guwahati. En route, visit the majestic Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani, which is surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi pines and azure blue skies. You may enjoy boating at Umiam Lake at your own expense, subject to availability and weather conditions. On arrival at Shillong, check in to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Don Bosco Museum, Ward’s Lake, where you can enjoy boating, St. Mary’s Cathedral and Shillong Golf Link, subject to available time.
